So you've read through the Welcome and Site Rules and are now probably wondering what to do next. Well you're in the right place, here's the basic run down of what you'll want to do to get things started here on Legacy!

1. First things first... you'll want to make a post in our intro forum and tell us a little about yourself. We enjoy getting to know our members and want to give you a proper welcome to the site!

2. Next up... you'll need a character to play on Legacy of course. Creating Your Character isn't a complicated process, we don't require an application or anything and only exotic characters will need admin approval. All you need to do is hit up the My PC forum and get started on your character's profile.

3. Now that you have a character... it's time to create your character's Homebase. Homebases are a new concept to Legacy and we're very excited about them! Setting up a Homebase is simple, just put up a post in the My Homebase forum and decide just what you want your homebase to be!

4. With a Homebase set... you're nearly ready to go out into the World and RP. But first you're probably wondering, how the heck do we roleplay here on Legacy anyway? Well as of 2015 we've taken on a new approach to roleplaying other than your standard back and forth, linear roleplay with a random moderator. Now we're leaving things in you the player's hands. We want you to interact with the other players on Legacy to create your own stories and your own adventures. There'll be a few ways to do this but the most common will be to find other players to RP with. Which brings us to your next step...

5. Finding an RP buddy! Yep now it's time to find someone, or multiple someones, to RP with! Finding an RP buddy shouldn't be too hard as we're all here to RP. One of the easiest ways to find an RP buddy will be to pop into chat and just ask around. You can also post in the General Discussion forum or the pinned Looking For RP thread. Once you've got a taker, one of you'll start your journey in the World forum. This area represents the entire map of Opaddeka and Jgsei. All threads will start out in Hillmoss because the only thing all Characters have in common is the location of their Homebases. If you're lucky enough to snag someone who's been on the site awhile, they'll probably take the lead and show you the ropes, explaining things as you go along. Once you've got the hang of things, you can start returning the favor. For our new members you'll probably want to hit up the rules now and again to refresh yourself on how everything works here.
